WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE INTRODUCTORY CALL?
The introductory call is complementary and brief. It is done over the phone and we discuss very basic information including payment options, the video link for our meeting, contact information for me to set you up in my secure client portal, where you will find required documents that need to be reviewed and filled out at least 2 days prior to the consultation meeting. You can book your introductory call here.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE THERAPY CONSULTATION?
The consultation, which can also be referred to as the intake session, is the hour-long initial meeting where you get to tell me about the current problems and experiences you are having that bring you to therapy at this time. I'll also ask you about your history, including past experiences relevant to both your mental and overall health. We discuss what you would like to get out of therapy and ways I can support you. The consultation is structured with more specific and direct questions that I will ask , which will feel different than the ongoing sessions. This is to allow me to learn more information to see if we could be a good match for your needs. During this time, we also agree on a set appointment time that you can commit to on a weekly basis for our 45min ongoing sessions.
